Why don't you pick a time frame and stick to it? You seem to select time frames that benefit your uga argument.
You are the one saying we crap the bed against them with regularity. Which of the three programs do you believe....right now...seems to have the upper hand for the foreseeable future? All three seem to be on the right track, but Georgia, right now seems to be far ahead of the other two. All I am saying is Auburn struggles against Georgia, Tennessee and Florida, while you break even against LSU and Alabama. People who say Auburn would win the East 2 out of 3 years need to understand that the East might prove to be harder for Auburn than the West.

Why do you think this? What arbitrary time frame are you talking about now?
Auburn may be many things, but afraid to play anyone isn't one of them.
In fact Washington playing Auburn this year almost assures they will make the CFP.

How so? is it your opinion the last 5 years Florida team is as talented as Florida teams in the past? or is it your opinion that those 7 losses in a row to Florida by Auburn didn't happen? I will be anxiously awaiting your take on this.

Look closer at the rivalry. Look closer my friend.

That certainly narrowed the scope of things.

I realize you don't play them every year. It doesn't change the fact that when you do it generally does not end well for Auburn.

Florida didn't learn how to play football until 1990, and since they figured it out they are 11-6 against Auburn. With the talent that the state of Florida has now, I wouldn't expect them to go back to the dark ages anymore. McElwaine is gone. They actually have a coach that has a clue, now.

Recent history. 10-15 years. What time frame do you want to go by? I asked earlier and the only thing I can get from you is "Look closer"

Both Florida and Tennessee will probably be improving in the very near future. Florida before Tennessee is my guess. Surely you aren't going to argue that Auburn has played Georgia tough for the past 10-15 years.

Why am I supposed to care what Florida has done within the past five years?

You cherry picking fool.

I didn't think you would. They have been pretty bad. That is when Auburn beat them. I was pointing out that when Florida was good, Auburn could not.....could NOT beat them. 7 wins in a row for Florida. If you think Florida is going to stay at their present level then there is nothing else to talk about. Even Georgia fans want us to take advantage of the situation we are in right now, because we know things will get tougher against Florida very shortly.

Florida as a state has a ton more talent for the school Florida to restock their shelves....and they will. To think otherwise tells me you are myopic.

Bigger question, why is Missouri in the SEC? As you pointed out geographically you belong in the big 12.

I am old enought to make solid arguments based on past history and future probable results based upon chanign conditions and situations.
You? You say "Cherry picking fool" and other pithy statements to prove your point.

They’ve had such talent for decades. Auburn still has a commanding lead in the series.
I’ve yet to hear why I should care about how Florida played the last five years? And how did our series record benefit from it?

I actually have no problem with Mizzou being in the SEC...and if they are they should be in the West and Auburn in the east. My only argument is it might not be as easy as many Auburn fans think in the East. Right now especially.
Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South carolina seem to have made some good coaching hires, while LSU looks to be a mess. A&M, I think made a good hire, but Ole Miss is a mess. MState is a big question mark, and how much longer can Saban keep going?
It would be Auburn's luck to petition to be moved to the East and Saban retire the next year, and Pruitt and Mullen prove to be homerun hires.

FIFY. Does the name Damon Duval mean anything to you?

No they haven't. Not decades. Probably 10-15 years. but they also hired McElwaine. Florida's problem the past few years hasn't been the availability of talent. It has been a lack of recruiting that talent and poor coaching.
I mean....that is my opinion. Your opinion is just as valid as mine, and you might be right. Sometimes I get to believe what I am saying so strongly, I shut down all other possibilities. But one thing I think we can agree on, is that right now the talent is there, and a good coach will take full advantage of it. Mullen is already recruiting better. (I would agree that it could be a new coach bump....or he might prove to be a better recruiter than some think)

They were a much weakened team compared to their heyday. Yes, the East has been historically weak. I understand your argument. but my point is that it seems to be on the upswing. These things are cyclical, and when the conference first got divided up it was the East that dominated.
I meant to say the last 5 times you have played, since that is what the other Auburn poster brought up.
2006 Florida was good and you guys beat them.
2007 Florida lost 4 games
2011 Florida lost 6 games

You are so clever. Of course you were the one running around guaranteeing Trent Thompson was a lock to Auburn and you had sources, etc, so you will have to excuse me if I don't get too offended by your opinion.
