Because they’re Loss would be on a neutral field vs #4 UGA and they have wins over @#10 LSU, vs #18 MSU and #19 A&M
That’s a much better resume than Ohio State, Oklahoma and UCF.

Virginia Tech was up by two scores for a big chunk of the game. We also didn't do shite with a couple of turnovers. Purdue was up two scores for a big chunk of the game. It's like you didn't watch either game, and just went to the boxscore to pull your information.

I agree. It goes against the 4 best teams narrative but that is subjective and the committee can explain it away.
We will not get in if we lose and Oklahoma and Ohio St both win. Now if one of them loses all bets are off. My best guess would say if Oklahoma loses Bama gets in over Ohio St. if Ohio St loses Oklahoma gets in because they avenged their one loss.

Could it be possible that Georgia DOESN'T make the playoffs if it beats Bama? It would mirror Ohio State's 2017 situation.
Any way you cut it, losing to LSU by 20 is a bad loss. LSU struggled against most everyone this season (even some bad teams) and yet was never remotely challenged by the Bulldogs.
