The cops were clear on the other side of the parking lot. I don't know if you have ever been to the UA Rec Center, but that parking lot is huge. Also...it might be better to trust someone who was there and saw the whole thing. Courtney Upshaw did not start the altercation and he pushed her down to get her off of him. He never hit her.

He never swept it under the rug. It was out in the open from day 1. Once charges were dropped, he was reinstated, as would have been done at any other P5 school in America.
Meyer flat said he knew nothing about this situation. Never did anything in 2009. Never did anything in 2015 and again, said he knew nothing just the other day and now has admitted to not being honest. That's sweeping it under the rug.
Lying about a situation is much more dangerous than the act itself in America. If u do something at work that costs the company, you'll b ok if u admit it. If u lie to your boss and he finds out differently later, u get canned.
If Meyer is fired it won't be because his assistant hit his wife, it will be because Meyer said he didn't know about it when he really did. If Meyer had said, " I'm aware of the accusation and we r gathering information. Due to the nature of this and out of respect to everyone involved, I can't comment at this time. We take these accusations seriously and any discipline needed will be discussed at the appropriate time".
That statement and he would b fine. Probably a public reprimand but that's all.
