IMO,… their reputation was built back in the old SWC when they were clearly the dominant team and it landed them plenty of big post season bowls and visibility due to their record. But they rarely won the big prize. They are still living off of that due to their access to highly rated recruits in texas.
We are rated a top 25 program, but most of our big accomplishments came in the SWC. We’ll most likely fall in the rankings if we don’t get serious about competing where we are now.

I'd guess because you saw a list of most college football wins all-time and found Texas in the top 4 but not LSU.

Too bad meat judging isn't under NCAA jurisdiction to pump up your numbers
