Either he left LSU for aTm earlier than he's claiming and owes the money or he committed major recruiting violations by openly recruiting for aTm while still employed by LSU. Either way he's screwed.

It's not an either or situation with the recruiting violations. I didn't care if Chavis paid the $400k until last week. LSU just received sanctions for a very minimal infraction under questionable circumstances. aTm went after 3 DC's prior to turning their attention to Chavis. I do believe that they made that decision based on the potential to hurt LSU as much as to help aTm's defense. It's obvious that Sumlin wanted to leverage the hire during the stretch run of the 2015 recruiting cycle. The aTm compliance staff and AD must have been busy celebrating with Sumlin when they should have been protecting the university.

The part that will bite them in the arse is not thinking through the situation and allowing Chavis to recruit for them while not (officially) being on their staff. Chavis has a contract and it has a start date. aTm could have avoided this entire fiasco by having Chavis resign immediately and paying the $400k penalty. If they wanted to avoid the $400k, Chavis and aTm should have agreed that it was in the best interest of both parties to send Chavis to his ranch in Tenn. while his 30 day notice expired. The facts of this case seem so compelling that I'm starting to wonder if the aggy jokes are truly warranted. What a bunch of morons.

Your offense was absolute dog shite last year, couldn't stay on the field, leaving the defense completely exposed

LSU's passing game was crap and made them one dimensional. That one dimension was pretty damned good, their issue was scoring. But as for TOP:

LSU #9 32:58
Texas A&M #125 26:17 (tied with Eastern Michigan)

Agree that the offense left a lot to be desired last year, but to say that they "couldn't stay on the field" is just stupid. But, hey, don't let silly things like facts get in the way of your argument. That seems to work for Chavis and his legal team.

If us not matching the 1.7m offer doesn't validate that we did in fact "let him go", you're probably not too bright. I think it's hilarious that you aggies thought that by hiring our DC you would somehow hurt big bro. The facts after Chavis flight to CS should tell you what aTm is up against.

*Aggy hires Chavis away from LSU.
*Chavis immediately hits the recruiting trail while not officially on the aggy payroll.
*Chavis battles ULL for a prospect.
*Aggy finishes the year with the #11 class. I'd ask...What was the net gain for aggy in the 2015 cycle?

*LSU makes a questionable hire with Kevin Steele. (Acknowledged)
*LSU adds one of the best recruiters in the country as DL coach.
*LSU leverages their existing contract with their own DL coach thereby preventing aggy from attempting to hire him.
*LSU finishes the 2015 recruiting cycle with a flurry and lands at #5.
*The talent gap between LSU and aTm WIDENS after their brilliant move.
*LSU is now positioned to land what will be an epic class in 2016.

Admit it...this didn't turn out the way you clowns thought it would. I will admit that I was absolutely concerned when the news broke. I am now positive that, at a minimum, aggy helped LSU to secure Coach O and that wouldn't have happened without your help. We can now focus on closing the talent gap with Bama while watching aggy disappear in our rearview mirror.

I truly mean this...THANK YOU AGGY! Lil Bro will always be Lil Bro!

Typing another long response that nobody read is not going to suddenly help your case

Everything I typed is fact and some will read it. I acknowledged that the hire worried me at first but part of the outcome has already been determined. LSU finished with a better recruiting class than aTM. aTm is responsible for making LSU much stronger as a recruiting staff.

The only thing that remains to be seen is the results on the field in 2015.
