So why won't Auburn not. And if not Auburn then who will. Gus has proven he knows offense, Boom obliviously knows D, talent is there.

Why does it matter what type of offense they practice against? Seems to me that defenses today would benefit from practicing against hunh offenses with that being the majority we see today.

well your prediction was basically they would win a bunch and the bama game is huge or they will get beat somewhere and fall off

i couldnt help myself, but i agree with your prediction. they either win a bunch or they wont

To be honest the other option is the dreaded nuclear winter scenario. Auburn completely collapses at the beginning of the season and wins only the gimme games on their schedule.

For that to happen it would mean Auburn is this year's version of Arkansas going into the John L. Smith fiasco, or Southern Cal from 2012. Both of those meltdowns were due to personnel problems (USC from scholarship sanctions, Arkansas from Petrino's lousy recruiting) being over ranked by the press, and exceptionally poor coaching.

Auburn doesn't seem to have the personnel problems and I think Malzahn is a better head coach then either John L. Smith or Lane Kiffin. Granted... that is damning with faint praise but there you have it.

Because Auburn 2012 was a horrific year for Auburn that still causes them nightmares. So I'm saving bringing that season up for the week they play Arkansas. Always keep an ace up your sleeve for prime time trolling

They forget that season ever happened, in fact, that say it never happened and didn't count

No Auburn fan is worried about 2012. It led to 2013 and the belief that a 8 win season was a disappointment in 2014. Think about that 8 wins was a huge disappointment. Man, there are teams celebrating 7 wins and Auburn was a huge disappointment with 8 wins. This is a crazy world.

We'll send a beer truck to Auburn the week they play the Aggies.

Gus and all his team can drip beer instead of practice.

The Aggies will be an easy win for them.

Get this straight. I don't know how you do it down in Texas but we don't drip beer in Alabama. Not now, not ever. This maybe the rant but that is unacceptable. Dripping beer. #partyfoul

Yet you know enough to say people are misinformed? Intellectual consistency... You should give it a shot.

Auburn is projected to go 6-6 by ESPN's little predictor model.

I don't think they'll be that bad, but they'll probably lose 3-4 games, which will be the norm under Malzahn.

Nobody has seen him play. A half to start the season isn't enough of a sample size for anyone to be crowning AU the west champs.

We return our best two linemen from the 2013 team on both sides of the ball (missed last season due to injury), Muschamp gets to play with a surprisingly talented group of players on D, and Jeremy Johnson has the trimmings of an elite quarterback (still to be determined).

If Johnson lives up to most of his hype and Muschamp can get one or two more stops a game, it's not that mind blowing to consider Auburn in the hunt.

Of course.

SEC West winner will at least lose one game. shite, maybe two. I think it could be even more dog-eat-dog than last season.

Auburn will be competitive, for sure. Closing with Georgia and Alabama in SEC play is always tough, though. Even if those games are at home. I think they'll be 7-2 heading into the Georgia game.
