That's because lsu has played such a soft schedule.
Miami's playing ACC shitball, auburn's playing offense on frickin rollerskates. Then there's that FCS monster SELU, a team barely one rung above a JUCO squad and last but not least, la tech.
Play a frickin team worth a shite and florida doesn't count, they're in your competitive strata.

LSU likely isn’t making the playoffs, but if they beat everyone but Alabama, and that game is competitive, they’ve got a really good shot.

I've actually found that here S Carolina and Georgia most people pull for LSU unless they are playing their team of choice. Very nice folks.

It's not weak. Nothing about it is weak.
What's so special about miami? The ACC is intramural football and everybody in the division has to play auburn, big frickin deal. Lsu has played two shitty in state football teams and your cross divisional rival hasn't been worth a shite since tebow left.
Lsu has to play one good cross divisional team and up on cross you people climb with this ridiculous "toughest schedule in the universe" bullshite.
The only reason ya'll keep sucking on that dried up "toughest schedule" teet is because you need an excuse for when that helmet headed coach of yours finally lives out the peter principle.

frick miami. It's a three and low four star team coached by a guy who has no edge to him at all and every team in the division has to play auburn. Let me guess, lsu's FCS and G5 teams are tougher than everyone else's, right?
At this point in the season, a&m has played a tougher schedule than anyone but even that doesn't matter. As long as the alabama's, lsu's and georgia's of the world are scheduling fricking SELU, austin peavy and the citadel, no one's playing a tough schedule.
Cry me a frickin river because you opened with miami. Go back and take a look at the teams alabama has opened with and where they were ranked. No one cares and no one should.
