Selective quoting, I see. You conveniently left off the next sentence where I said we enjoy seeing how pissed off you non Texans get. I suppose thanks for the last 3 pages of medium quality entertainment are in order, oh ye of little reading comprehension

With all this animosity however I will throw out one good thing about Texas.....
They have better gun laws than California....where I will have to live for the next two years once I get back to the states.

Alright, frick all of y'all Texas haters. Yea, we might come off as arrogant. Sorry we are damn proud of our state. Deal with it. I have work tomorrow, hopefully I don't have a hangover

Where are you outside of the country if you don't mind my asking?
Okinawa, Japan (See the little location thingie under my name) been stationed here for 3 fricking years. 41 days till I load the wife and the dogs up on the plane and fly back to 'Merica.

Good to know I got under your skin.
I actually enjoy the Cubans and Puerto Ricans with their we're better than the other digs.
I don't think they like each other very much. My Cuban friends consider Puerto Ricans lesser and my Puerto Rican friends think the opposite. It leads to some weird moments for me.
Anyway, broken English in Miami is not really broken English. They just go back and forth from Spanish to English in the same damn sentence. They speak both perfectly. I think they do it to confuse me when I'm down there.
I don't mean any harm. We have tons of illegals in FL and they cause some serious issues. I will say this about them, they work their asses off and don't cause trouble for obvious reasons.

Before I hit the hay...
Caribbean people have a special bond. Hell, the Cuban and Puerto Rican flag are the same, except for inverted colors. We have a lot in common. The way we talk and our food is almost the same. Same goes with Dominicans. When I first moved to Texas from PR I used to hate being called Mexican, but now I just shrug it off. In fact, most Mexicans at A&M made fun of my Spanish because it was more like Spanglish. But, who cares. What the frick is that "huey" thing? I have a hard time understanding Mexicans at times. The feeling is mutual.

My bad, should have looked Glad you're getting back to the States soon tho! Separated from my wife right now cuz she's in tech school while I'm stuck here in oklahoma
At least she was already married when she joined. I got told I was going to Okitraz 6 days before we got married and I was supposed to be on island in 4 days. Needles to say that didn't happen, but it put an unnecessary rush on everything.

I lived in NE Pennsylvania for a bit-nice people but I can't stand the accents, visited South Carolina for a month, awesome people but terrible BBQ, went to NC a bit, way less friendly than SC...visited Colorado for a month, snobby people, but hiking trails and hardly any fat people.
I've been in Kansas, Missouri (which seem really similar to me-ok people, nothing to do outside of the huge cities)
I've been through Oklahoma, which has to be the worst place in the US. at least New Mexico has a nice shade of orange nothingness to it.
Texas isn't the worst state. There's great food and plenty of things to do, but there are enough people there who are straight up douchebags that they ruin Texas for me. I've been to Dallas close to 20 times, and literally every time I have to deal with self-righteous douchebags
Cool.

Like ShaneTheLegLechler said, don't let the d-bags in Dallas color your perception of the rest of the state

And at least we can agree Oklahoma is a shithole. Can't fricking wait till I get stationed someplace else

lol Okitraz

And yeah, actually my wife and I met in ROTC at A&M, but I was a year ahead of her. Long story short, ended up having to get married in a rush, too, so she could join me in Oklahoma while she waited on her orders. Talk about stressful

Words can't express how shitty it is there. I feel for you dude. I wouldn't have been able to do it.
Idk..Cali is the shite hole of the U.S. to me. I mean I know there's lots to do, but their gun laws literally have me livid. And they're trying to add more
