This is true. It's hard to say, though. In some areas, I expect our defense to be better. In others it is very much in the air and a wait and see situation.

I'm not sure I am following you. We struggled on defense twice last year...Auburn #1, and Oklahoma.
We played very well in 13 out of 15 games. That's pretty consistent. And Oklahoma had a great offense. We shut their offense down in the second half, only giving up 7 points to their offense.
