I hate to say this but The Vols are a good choice If kiffen gets things lined up right.

They'll end up on probation first.

The east will be a battle between Tennessee and Florida. I'd give a slight edge to Florida, but I wouldn't be surprised to see UT win it.

Auburn has an excellent schedule next year so saying that is absurb considering Arkansas and Ole Miss and Miss St are all getting better. Well maybe not Ole Miss, but every other team is gonna be better.
It's not absurd. LSU & bama will be the heavy favorites. The other 4 are a tossup for being favored to finish 3rd. Can one of them finish first? sure. Will they? Probably not

I'm actually thinking I'm leaning towards Georgia. I don't see two bad season in a row for Richt. What are you hearing on the QB situation?

Right now everything is pointing towards Aaron Murray. Gray is a good athlete but just doesn't have all the intangible's to be the starting QB. Mettenberger has a ton of upside but I just dont see him beating out Murray.

I'd never be blinded enough to pick SC to win the East, but it does appear that our best opportunity to do so is on the horizon. However even with new players, new coaches.. it is still a hard-arse schedule must contend with always having to deal with @UF, UT, and UGA. Along with @ Auburn and 'Bama on in the 20`0 schedule. Of course @ UK and @ Vandy arent east.

But hey we've got 4 all-SEC freshman (tied most with 'Bama) along with an improved Garcia. If our oline can begin to block decently next year we'll have a shot.

Correct, he and Mettenberger both redshirted this year.

I think the UT-UF game in Knoxville next year will go a long way in deciding the East next year.

When they vote for preseason predictions, i expect to see:
1. Florida (as long as they get a good hire, i'm sure they will)
2. USC
3. Georgia
4. UT
5, UK
6. Vandy

1-2 could switch. 3-4 could switch. 1-2 have QBs, 3-4 don't, simple as that

I'll believe it when I see it.

USC will never win anything except for the pity of other SEC fans.

I wish I could pick South Carolina, but the chicken curse is real and they won't do it next year.

The more UT fans knock on SC the worse it makes UT look.

I think people are overestimating how much we lose. Yes we lose EB, but our overall secondary will be better. Yes we lose the QB, but its Crompton, who was shite before Kiff got here. Yes we lose a few Olineman but our second best Olineman returns and the ones we lose are walk-ons, etc...

We stand as good a chance as anyone. Kiffin is licking his chops right now.
