The East certainly hasn’t been stronger the last decade or so but the East did have a winning record against the West last year.

There is no question that the East was better than the West last year. That much isn't debatable in my opinion.

I agree. I was just pointing out the hyperbole of his statements. Boutte could have/should have been a bigger loss, but he (for whatever reason) did not play as big of a role this year as he could/should have. Either way, LSU had a really good year without his playing a big role, and one could argue that LSU had a really good year because he did not play as big of a role.
