Irrelavant. Bush didn't play for the decade. Its a clear thing of looking at the numbers and not picking out what you want to read. Yeah USC was good, they had a couple losing seasons during that span, they lost wins and titles per NCAA.

2.occupying or being in a commanding or elevated position.

Dominant does not = losing seasons. Sorry buddy.

You used undefeated seasons as a barometer for success over a ten year period or so. If auburn was more dominate using the number of wins, why do numerous other teams have way more wins in that time frame? You literally picked the one statistic that auburn looks good in. There are shitloads of others in which they are way behind. I guess if it makes you feel better buddy lol.

Its an opinion, there is no right or wrong answer... it all depends on what "most dominant" means to you

Thats just one stat to look at. I'm no Auburn fan, but I find that to be an impressive accomplishment. Although I never once said that makes them the most dominant, I just think they should be in the discussion b/c that is something none of the other teams on the list were able to do. And besides 1 bad season, there were pretty solid every other year

there are lots of barometers to look at for this question, thats just one of them

so by your definition... If a team won 9 out of 10 National Titles in a decade, but the one year they didnt win a title they went 5-7... that would exclude them from the discussion?

they had 7 years where they lost 4 or more games....and you want to knock LSU for their '07 NC

Except that doesn't include 2010, so it doesn't include all of last decade.

Good thing you didnt start a topic going back to 1999 then cause LSU would be discluded.

I only knock LSU for '07 b/c ya'll claim that as the top reason ya'll should be considered the most dominant

AU and LSU both have a bunch of 3-4 loss seasons over that period, but I never said Auburn should be considered because they went 12-2 one year. I said they should be considered b/c they ran the table twice

LSU has a 2 loss season and b/c they lucked out and won a title act as if we should bow down to their greatness

Still a pretty interesting take

Its obvious they put stock in different factors than the people in this thread have

He lists how he factors wins, conference championships, bowl wins, BCS bowl wins, top 25 finishes, top 10 finishes, top 5 finishes and MNC into a formula

and this is what he comes out with (again this is 2000-2009 so not exactly the same time period we were talking about but close enough)

1.USC
2.Oklahoma
3.Texas
4.Ohio State
5.Florida
6.LSU
7.Georgia
8.Boise State
9.Miami
10.Virginia Tech
11.Oregon
12.Florida State
13.TCU
14.Auburn
15.West Virginia
16.Boston College
17.Utah
18.Alabama
19.Michigan
20.Wisconsin
21.Nebraska (tie with Iowa)
22.Iowa (tie with Nebraska)
23.Texas Tech
24.Oregon State
25.Tennessee

I think LSU fans are claiming dominance because LSU has the most wins since 2000 according to stats posted early in the thread. 2000-present.

ummm...no we don't. its also because we have the most NCs (tied with UF) and a shitload of wins

yea...but we're talking about over 12 years. 7 of which they lost 4 or more games

the reason you started this thread is blatantly obvious....especially since you're trying to give auburn more credit than LSU

Which is inaccurate. Three teams have more wins than LSU during that time frame.
