quote:Louis is so fast it's scary, but yeah...he just can't seem to get the defense and is out of position too much to be trusted yet. He's still young, maybe he'll get it.
I wish Barrow could get us set so we could play our best guy at MLB whether that's Louis or Beckwith. Louis has been a bit disappointing, kid looks the part but apparently cant grasp the defense at all.

Excellent.... thank you.
What can you tell me about them?
Any particular ones that stand out?
They are all fairly solid..Other than Barrow, the LBers are young but talented
Ego Ferguson might be the most disruptive pass rusher we have beside Anthony Johnson

Allen is very disruptive too, but hasn't gotten the stats to show it.

Sorry I didn't feel like giving a full breakdown and analysis of the LSU defense.
I don't blame you.

Not to mention you asked about the front 4 in my thread. As well as injured players. I listed them all plus non starters who would see playing time.

Look for UGAs two biggest D linemen. JUCO Chris Mayes 6-4 315 was dealing with a concussion the 2nd half of camp. Got healthy vs. UNT and was rather impressive.
John Taylor 6-4 330 is considered our freak. Easily has the most potential out of all the linemen. Still a fr. but he should be playing alot considering the opponent.
I expect Chris Wilson (former MSU DL/DC) to rotate atleast 7 guys for the 3 down linemen spots. Depth is most definitely there but still green.

The only guys I saw LSU have trouble with were not the big backs going down hill, it's the shifty ones that make more than one move. The rest have been handlers pretty easily and we faced a couple 230 pound backs with speed. I think one was injured but still stopped him. Key is to stop gurley early, and not let him get going, which I think we will do. Of corse not everytime but I think we will get it done! Welter isn't a punk at all, he will hit you, Beckwith def has the better potential easily but welter has stopped some big boys in there tracks, and even moved them backwards on initial hit. He's a football player, not some punk like these guys are making him look! He took a few bad angles and hasn't filled the whole quite like minter but he's decent! If he hits gurley he's gonna be stopped, won't bounce off, when he hits you he drives you and he has some pretty good form tackling. Minter was good at taking on the blocker and getting off of it or making him miss, welter not so much but when he does he makes plays! He had 10 tackles in this one and he's the main one getting better I think. Kwons just a terror! If we come out aggressive, I like our chances!
