2007 LSU was wore down by injuries

This. LSU was a very talented team that year....they were strong early...had some injuries and very close games against some very good competition. They beat the eventual #2 team by 41 points early in the year. Once they healed up for the NC game.....they were dominant again, against a team that Brent Musberger called great.

LSU fans, realize we were only a field goal away from being in the boat LSU was in. You guys would have been voted in as well. I don't want to hear the whole 12-1 vs 13-1 crap. Alabama and LSU were clearly the best two teams in the nation. Alabama proved to be slightly better. We lost because of some missed FG's while you guys lost badly. If you take the two game and compare them Alabama is obviously the better team. If you say otherwise you are stupid. 21-0 (LSU never had a chance) > 9-6 (Bama had multiple opportunities to win the game with simple FG's)

I didn't read the whole thread but is this only for football? If not, I'd have to give the edge to UF cuz of their BB NCs. I'd say it's very close though.

I think your "back in" was a little more significant than ours, we didn't lose to Kentucky and Arkansas.

Yeah the boat where we had 2 less weeks to gameplan for you, and an extra game to get up for as well. The boat where our players would have been seeking revenge. The emotions of 19-21 year old kids can impact games. Im not saying we would have won that game, since Miles decided t ogo with the abortion that was JJ, but an extra 2 weeks to gameplan for you and the extra rest could have helped.

Well, we did beat you guys in front of 100k gumps on a game that was moved to primetime so it would be at night.

If you take the body of work throughout the year, our resume was better. How many top 5 teams did we beat on the road? How many BCS bowl winners did we defeat?

40-50 yard field goals are not simple, especially since yall had the JJ/JL of the kicking world last year. But your awesome coach kept trying it, because we were shutting yall down on your end of the field. Yall made it to the 25 once.

Bama was the more complete team last year, and i wont deny that. But as an LSU fan, we were shocked at how well we did with the Qb situation we had. If not for Lee, i dont know that we were there last year.

Dear God, read my whole post. I said Bama was the more complete team last year. But your boy said based on two games, one of which you lost, yall were the better team last season. I just stated that our body of work was more impressive. Do you disagree?

SEC Champions... You didn't even win your division son. GTFO

ETA: And you had already lost to LSU at home. You had nothing to lose.

2007 was a strange year where everyone had 2 losses. Based on overall resume (this means more than simply quality of losses, gumps) lsu was the logical choice. I personally thought OK had a good argument that year, and I do have a higher regard for the 2003 season.

2011 was was like 2006 when everyone thought OSU and Mich were CLEARLY the best teams. The eyeball test said so...

There was a time not so long ago when the 11/6 game would've cleared that up for us.

Y'alls resume was alot better than every team but you had to play a championship game anyways. OSU blew their chances by losing to a crappy ISU team so there was only one logical choice. Sure, LSU was by far the best team and had the better resume in the regular season but unfortunately for y'all, NCs aren't awarded before the postseason.
