Clearly destination programs: UGA, Bama, LSU, Florida

I would agree with this. Tennessee is close but not sure

Perfect fit for UK and he'd be silly to leave. Great fan base and plenty of support from the administration and alumni.

UK is like North Carolina. You can go to both. Win 8 or 9 games and keep your job forever and live in a nice area

I think a "destination program" by definition has the following things:

1. Dedication to spend whatever amount of money is required to compete at the highest levels

2. Membership in either the B1G or the SEC (or, maybe, the ACC)

3. Is not considered a "little brother" to any other program

4. Is not a "basketball first" school

5. Has facilities comparable to the best programs in the sport

6. Is willing to bend the rules to get academically marginal players into school

7. Has a history of winning

With this criteria, Florida is absolutely NOT a destination school

1. Their AD is always bargin bin hunting for coaches: Z-Tier Zook, Agent Muschamp, Mid Major Mac, Discount Dan, Bargin Bin Billy.

The only possible exception was Urban, who also was unproven at the P5 level and only used Florida as a stepping stone to his real destination dream job: Ohio State.

2. They check this box, but so does Vandy, Northwestern, and Purdue

3. They are Miami’s little brother

4. They check this box mostly, though when they had Donovan during the Muschamp years it can be argued that they were a basketball school

5. Finally opened their football only facility in 2022, and is way behind even Oregon and Tennessee in this regard

6. Very strict about this. The UFail admin thinks they are like Stanford and cares more about that supposed reputation than actually winning

7. Only during a brief period in the 90s when the sec was down and a 3 year window under urban before he bolted for Ohio state, his true destination job

Florida is a stepping stone program

This post screams of weird obsession. Where did Florida touch you?
