2011 Alabama was the first team to lead the NCAA in all major defensive stats since 1986, and had the lowest PPG average on D since 1988. That's a fact. Spin it however it you want, it is what it is. All 12 wins were by 16+.
You guys faced no one besides Arkansas that played offense. Georgia Southern was the 2nd best offense you guys played. Bray and Hunter were both out for the Tennessee game.
John Brantley lit you guys for a quarter or so.
When Jordan Jefferson is the 2nd or 3rd best QB you guys face it's not as great as the stats make it seem.

A win on the field is all that really matters, and guess what? We won those games.
Not when you are doing a best of list and comparing teams from different years. If that were true, all undefeated teams would all be equal.

'08 Florida hands down. The Gators were absolutely stacked that year and had a two month stretch where they were absolutely annihilating everybody on their schedule. After the Ole Miss loss, they beat eight consecutive opponents by an average margin of 39.6 PPG. That's absolutely insane considering six of those schools were from the SEC with another one being Florida State. The '08 Gators might be the SEC team ever. They certainly were the best of the last 30 years.

I know I am biased to the 2008 team, but that was a completely loaded team that had great balance between a great offense and defense.
So loaded and balanced that they lost to unranked Ole Miss... in Gainesville.

But that Ole Miss team turned out to be pretty good. Had a lot of future NFL talent (Mike Wallace, Michael Oher, Peria Jerry, Dexter McCluster, Greg Hardy, etc..) and destroyed a 11-1 Texas Tech team in the Cotton Bowl. In fact '08 Ole Miss greatly underachieved just having a 9-4 record. They were more talented and just as good as this year's South Carolina and Arkansas teams.

They lost.
To unranked Ole Miss.
At home.
AT HOME.
Which unranked team did 2009 Bama lose to again?
Which unranked team did 2010 Auburn lose to again?
Know who was comparable to 2008 Ole Miss in 2010? Mississippi State. Auburn beat then IN STARKVILLE.
Know who was comparable to 2008 Ole Miss in 2009? LSU. Bama beat them in Tuscaloosa.
Know who was comparable to 2008 Ole Miss in 2008? Ole Miss. And Florida LOST TO THEM AT HOME.
