Neither team could pass very well. Both teams should’ve been running the ball. A&M had more success than Texas did running the ball in the first half.

Congrats to Sark to sticking with some good run calls in the second half. Broke a couple of long gainers.

I assume you referring to the 1997 Big 12 South Title but that isn't one of our Championships I referred to. I also didn't count 1994 either even though we were undefeated and had the best record in the SWC by 3 games but were on probation. We actually have 18, 17 in the SWC and 1 in the Big 12:

We have 3 NC's. All were undefeated teams. 1919, 1927, 1939. The 1919 team was also unscored upon (so was 1917 but we don't claim a NC for that year). 1939 team set a record by only allowing 1.71 yards per play on defense.

We are not a blue blood. We have very little to be excited about in the last 25 years. We have definitely been great before though and there is nothing fake about those championships. BTW, most SEC schools (including Texas) claim NC's where they lost their bowl game. Bear Bryant used to love to joke about claiming any NC no matter the circumstances. That's fine but we haven't done that.
