I was referring to the reactions of the idiots that live in N.O.

the idiots on TV or the hard working people trying to put their lives back together? don't believe everything u see on CNN. there's a whole other world out there than what they pick and choose to show for ratings. u never hear about the other guys making ends meet. doesn't account for good ratings.

Opelika and Auburn are two different places. Opelika sucks. It is ghetto like Tuscaloosa.

I've never been to Baton Rouge, but I've heard it was ghetto too. Is this true?

You have got to be the biggest homer.

Athens probably the has the most "college town" feel to it.

I've always hated BR when I went to school there in the 90's. I moved away after graduatin and just recently moved back last year. I can't tell you how much this city has improved. It's night and day.

i think he's talking about BR being a real city like Nashville. it's definately not a traditional college town.

Well I think the same can be said for just about every city in America. I can't speak for myself, but I just heard that BR is really slummy. I'm not hating or anything bc I've never been there, but it's just what I heard from several people.

Oh ok. If he's comparing BR to Nashville, he's crazy.

he's only comparing the two cities as in neither is a "college town". thats it. he's not comparing them in any other way. in which case he's correct.

Maybe so. I guess I need to visit and make my own opinion. I've been to NoLa, but never BR.

* I went to NoLa post-Katrina.

Gotcha! Well, it IS the capital of Louisiana...... so it's absurd for someone to think otherwise.

BR is basically just a bigger Tuscaloosa. If you think one sucks then you think they both suck. I for one think Tuscaloosa is pretty fun.
