I don’t care if we ever went by Texas University. None of the little nicknames that aggy has come up with over a century of playing second fiddle have any real effect. It’s fairly clear to anyone with enough brains to bait a fishhook who runs what.
The fact remains we are THE University of Texas, the flagship school in the state’s capitol.

Why do you Aggies seem to obsess about alters? Not sure if the other fanbases are, but you guys really seem to be wound up tight about the phenomenon.

Simple: You do such a poor job of disguising them. The A&M community on this site pretty much knows who all of the Aggies on this site are so it's brutally easy to spot a fake.

A&M fans are not obsessed with alters, we just can spot them easily. “Obsessed” is just how you chose to frame it. Could it be that you are projecting?
Because it is pretty clear to everyone that rustled longhorn fans create multiple alters on here (SEC board) with the sole purpose of attacking A&M.
So the real question is - do you understand how obsessed that makes you look?

Not at all, since I never bring up the issue of alters other than to ask why you guys harp on it.
Hopefully that answers your question, and you don't obsess about it anymore.
