You do know the Falcons chose their colors based on the home college schools (UGA and Tech) but dropped the gold after a while because it didn’t look as good, right?

What's your point? Georgia took the Packers logo?

Wear Falcons garb to the game.

But seriously, I went to an Atlanta United game at the new dome and it was crazy electric. I’m no big soccer fan, but 75,000 wild and crazy people out for soccer in the south was fun. A friend has field-side VIP season tickets. We were just feet from the players. Had a blast.

It shows they retroactively claimed 1942 and rustles more than a few UG posters.

Why in the world would that rustle anybody?

I think you may be misinterpreting some things. There are plenty of schools that claim NC from many years ago.....GT being one. Whether you desire to claim it 100 years ago or claim it 2 minutes ago makes no difference. What makes a difference is if there is a legitimate claim to make.

At least you finally agree that it was retroactively claimed.

Not surprised they did that. Imagine retroactively claiming a title from 1942 while everyone else was at war smh

Only a GT man would say this and not realize they claim one from 1918. You know, when everyone else was at war.

He's the fashion police. Most people go to football games to watch.....well....football. he checks out what the other dudes are wearing.

Mind showing me where I denied it?
While you are at it, you can also tell us what difference it makes?

So retroactively claiming a "title" with no hardware decades later is the same as winning the BCS or CFP?

Go ahead Stretch Armstrong. There are plenty of titles won before there was the BCS and CFP that are recognized and respected.

Auburn doesn't retroactively claim. Neither do we. Neither does LSU.

Downtown Atlanta football team is Georgia Tech. No one in that picture knows where GT is.

And? What exactly bothers you about it? Is it you don't think the title is earned? It doesn't make sense.

Most Georgia fans would have no idea the title was retroactively claimed....but you do. And Florida fans say we are obsessed.

Seriously. it is a legitimate claim. Look at the season and what all happened. It's legit. Deal with it or it will eat you alive. Let it go.

ETA
Crap. I just looked up the history of Florida football. Would you like for me to tell you why Florida does not retroactively claim any titles? I can if you would like, but I suspect you already know the answer to that question.

LSU would also have a hard time laying claim to any they don't already claim.

Auburn possibly could, but more often than not they have been on probation in their best years. They have had some pretty bad breaks, like the year they got passed over for the NC game, and then the winner of the game had to vacate. I was actually pretty upset they didn't get a shot in that game.

So then why do y'all get so upset when it's pointed out how y'all retroactively claimed it?

I don't nor have I ever seen anybody get upset.

Maybe you have seen people that i haven't? but sure you aren't going to ascribe behavior of one or two people to an entire fan base, are you?
