There might be 3mil Bama fans. You base your opinion on the whole fan base from (initially) 20 posters on this board, (then as the story grows) maybe 100 on Bama boards. That is pretty audacious. Maybe as you grow older, you'll realize you shouldn't generalize by painting with such a broad brush.
I think maybe the fundamental reason you don't like Bama fans is that they don't put up with your bullshite.

Alabama probably has one fo the top 5 fan bases in the United States if not higher than that.
I think Notre Dame would probably pass BAMA but I can't think of amny others that would.

I think they've been more successful as of late because their main rival has been in the ICU flatlining because of NCAA sanctions for most of this decade. If I was fighting a one-legged man and won six times, I wouldn't conclude I was Superman.

College football teams often times have periods of declined performance, every team has gone through it. But according to this logic, other teams in their respective divisions or conferences haven't accomplished anything significant b/c said team was in a rut??

We broke NCAA regulations with our basketball program and it wrecked our team. Good, it should, we shouldn't have been paying players. I don't bitch about the punishment or discredit the accomplishment of other programs b/c our basketball program was down at the time of their success.
