I wouldn't go that far. Sure I'd prefer to win national titles, but that is a tall order in baseball. There has only been one team, South Carolina, win multiple national titles in the past 10 years, and they just fired their head coach after missing the NCAAT 2 of the last 3 years. Like basketball, the tournament makes it very hard to win a national title, regardless of how good your team is. But LSU baseball has been as consistently elite as any program, and I'm ok with that.
