Worst experience of my life was visiting a friend for a Purdue football game in the early 2000s. The most popular bar in that shithole town? Applebee's. Frat bro dudes crowded a bar begging not to be cut off after their 4th bargain night tall boy. I didn't think it could be any more depressing, then we went to a Big 10 game.

That must be some level of College Football Viewing Hell. A Big 10 game with like Indiana vs Illinois called by Beth Mowins with that fricking Applebees commercial played twice every break and 14 times during half time. Then Dr. Pepper's testicle smashingly unfunny Fansville sprinkled liberally throughout. Honorable mention, every AT&T same deal commercial and Chick-Fil-A toddler music commercials.

Believe it or not, they actually do have some decent tasting items for what they are. The problem is that you're limited to maybe 3 items on their entire menue

For the most part deeprig9 is correct. I've been at my parents house in small town Ga for the past two weeks and this little town fits this to a T. 20 years ago when they moved here, there was a Crapplebee's, a Lone Star and a local Chinese restaurant. In the past 10 years they have had some quality places open up, but for a long time, all these hayseeds had was Crapplebee's, and Lone Star.
