I've read the rumors as to why he's been in the hospital but nothing said about him leaving. Unless he didn't get his act together.

I've never had anything personal against Stands. He is a really good guy. I just dont think he is a very good coach- and a terrible disciplinarian. Strick had to sit him down last April and make him install a strength program. Thats why Sidney went off to work with someone else- he didnt want to be part of the new strength program.
It's amazing we have won as much as we have under him. He did well when he had good character guys like Z, Bowers, LR...but now you see he has kids he just cant control. And its killing the program- no matter how talented they are.

Agreed. I think Sid is/was his ultimate undoing. But honestly, I don't think even Coach K could have got in that kid's head. John Lucas did not even have much affect.

The guy might not be a competent coach, but does that warrant hatred from State fans? The guy loves MSU through and through, was drawing the 10th largest pay check in the SEC while being the SECs longest tenured coach and like it or not, he's our all time winning-est coach. I think he's earned to at the very friggin least, to not be hated by us.
Excuse me. I hate the fact that he is our coach. I always have. I hate watching his teams play. I hate the effort he gets from players. I hate how he doesn't command respect. I hate how stupid his offense is. I hate how clueless his players act. I hate how his lack of coaching ability makes the analysts look down on our program. I hate wanting us to lose so that we can get a good coach. I don't think Coonass hates him either. He just hates the same things that I do.
