You got a good number of answers in the first few pages.

Even had a Mizzou fan come up with one that fit your retroactive criteria.

Acknowledging that would go against the original intent, I get that. But to continue to say that no one has answered the question is just poor form.

I didn't cry, but especially right after it happened it took the wind out of the sails.

What does being over it mean? I've accepted that it happened and that there's nothing that can be done to change that. But I'll never see it as a disposable tradition.

He's just trying to fulfill his own premise that we are reactionary and unreasonable, and thus incapable of answering his questions. He never wanted an answer, just validation.

No it's not against the original intent, and you DON'T get that.

No one has given an item they'd cry about. The closest thing to a real answer is the A&M story... but no one would cry about it or SAY they'd cry about it. You know why? Because grown men don't cry about shite unless it's -bad-

Unless they like Auburn, apparently.

What object would it take to make u as reactionary as boogs about Toomer's? (Posted on 3/3/13 at 5:54 p.m.) First of all, f'k Updyke.. he's a loser and a moron, and what he did was dumb. Also, thank goodness there isn't some sort of non-stop war going on at each campus to 1 up each other's last act of vandalism, because it could get out of hand and costly... But let's get serious here. I was reading the Auburn board here (on TD) and reading their reactions about Toomer's corner. And it JUST occurred to me how utterly sensitive they are about it all. I begun to try to figure out what "thing" we have that I would cry and be literally upset about. Someone in that thread literally said they'd tear up about it!!! Honestly.. even if some insane boog destroyed Denny Chimes or some insane shite like that, I think i'd be over it in a matter of minutes to hours. What gives with these boogs? I'm shocked at how many of them act so womanly about all this!!! Let's all just be glad it was ONE dumbass and ONE foul move. I think they're all posturing to add dramatic effect to what "awful thing happened to them." Surely they aren't all this sensitive. Also, fwiw... I am -stunned- there wasn't ONE equally smacktarded boog out there that was willing to try to retaliate. Kudos, boogs. And although I'm GLAD it didn't get worse... it -almost- depresses me that our rivalry didn't prove itself in this way... almost. <yes, i'd be fine with moving this to the Alabama board.. i don't care where the thread is. just wanted thoughts> This post was edited on 3/3 at 5:59 pm Even enemies can show respect.

This is your original post. I think you are the one who needs to read and review your intent.

Oh shite so you were wanting to know why folks want prison for Updyke? I'm assuming it's because what he did was criminal. First it's tree's ( others it's mangling dolls, cats, dogs), and maybe the next time it's poisoning food, water, etc.

I don't know if what I wrote is why or not? Let me ask you, what consequences do you think the actions of Updyke should bring?

Good question. By "being over it" I mean having no emotional responses when you think about it.

Admins, this thread is an obvious flame thread and m2pro is making an arse of himself. Please do every sensible Auburn and Bama fan a favor and cleanse the Rant of this thread.

RA'ing this post.

Guys, I'm out. Have fun.

Yeah, he kind of has moved the goal posts as the thread has grown, but hey if it helps his argument what the hell, right?

Toomer's is different because it's an experience that goes beyond football. It's a community experience. If it were JUST football, the reaction probably wouldn't be so strong.

That said, I know that there are a lot of Alabama fans that are going to be really bummed if we ever have to stop the Tennessee rivalry. I know a lot that were bummed for a really long time after the Iron Bowl was moved. It was the end of an era. And one of the saddest parts is that even though new traditions are started, part of the sad part is knowing that people aren't going to know what it was like before or know what they are missing.

This is my last response to you. You aren't paying attention to anything... including my OP which you just posted.

My intent was to ask a question and to gig auburn fans a little. Which has been repeated in this thread over and over by me to attackers like you... who just want to be "cool" because it's easy to hate on someone that looks like a flamer...

WHEN someone flames, they must have a legitimate point. My point is legitimate. And it works as a flame. That's the genius of it. Why else have we gotten 9-10 pages worth of responses?

Ok ok.. I'll respond to you again. You got me. Since no one else has responded to the feeding frenzy I've had here...

You see, Bama fans never have reacted that way, boss! That's the beauty in all this! I get to enjoy making Auburn fans look bad in this scenario.

i was just trying to be objective.

Someone duct taped a Cam Newton Jersey to Bear Bryant's statue, so they bought hundreds of dollars worth of tree poison and drove an hour to Auburn's Campus to destroy one of their most sacred traditions. Alabama fans have acted worse... much worse...

I heard about this being a potential event... from an Auburn fan friend of mine ABOUT auburn fans. It didn't happen, but I honestly wish it had. This way there wouldn't be some perceivable high horse.

So you admit it was a flame.

I don't have a dog in the fight, just think you are an idiot.

Your point isn't legitimate at all. In any way.
