Well,
Had either team won that matchup and not lost three conference games, my guess is the committee would look at a 10-2 SEC team with a marquis win as a playoff team.
It’s pretty simple: don’t lose 25% of your games and you’re in the playoff.

I'm with you. Plus, it's just good football to watch. LSU proved something that day they went in to Austin and won in 2019. It was an exciting game, and tempered LSU into a national title team.
