Because offering scholarships to student athletes is fully within the parameters of NCAA rules, and all schools do it.

Offering a kid a chance to play basketball at the premier program in the SEC (reigning SEC champs and in first place at 8-0) is by definition a strong-arse offer.

Kentucky had a good run. Their fans should be proud of all those past achievements. No matter how much LSU and Will Wade dominate SEC basketball for the foreseeable future, nobody can ever take away Kentucky’s past success.
