Berlin 1st went to Florida but bounced after he could not surpass Rex Grossman, so his tenure at Miami may have run parallel to the Shapiro years

How is that a "trolling statement"?

Yep. He was benched behind Rex.
He was phenomenal in high school compared to the other kids.

The hope is Mandeville's Mike Mauti can finally stay healthy and become the last bad arse linebacker at Penn State next year before we fade into obscurity

I never saw him play. I saw Brock, and like I said, he really stood out amongst the rest of them.

West Monroe is so dominate due to it being the only high school in the city limits. provides depth at all positions. If the roster is full cross the river. West Monroe lives REBEL football!!

Also you literally can choose between Neville, OCS & West Monroe to play ball for. See players do it all the time being that the schools are only divided by the river use mom, dad, grandma address and play where you desire. some in-town recruiting. Ouachita Parrish is a great football area.

Evangel & OCS are different than most of the North LA teams.
Evangel & OCS are private schools. Most North LA schools that are good in football are public.
South Louisiana is nearly all Catholic. They win the championships down there most of the time. Occasionally a public school from down there wins one but not very often.
Don't know about Central Louisiana (Alexandria, Lake Charles, etc.) but football is very popular in North Louisiana. Especially Northeast Louisiana (Monroe, West Monroe, Bastrop, Farmerville, Ruston, Haynesville, Oak Grove, Winnfield, etc.)
The smaller towns don't have football until seventh grade. I think any football played anywhere in the state before junior high is not not connected to the schools. Those leagues used to be through YMCA (Grey Y). South Louisiana churches might have leagues.
The population in North Louisiana has changed with the bad economy. Some schools have grown through consolidation (lots of small town schools were closed so those kids are bussed to a little bit larger town's school). Other schools that used to be larger have dwindled down and dropped out of contending in football.

But in general, do you think the people of south la think north la is inferior? Not you personal, but generally speaking it seems the people in south la look at north la as either an extension of Arkansas or Mississippi.
People from South Louisiana think of North Louisiana people as being more country. Most do live in rural areas.
The whole state of Louisiana is culturally diverse. "South Louisiana" has at least three different cultures down there. The people from Lafayette are very different from Baton Rouge people and New Orleans people are different from either of them. Everybody talks differently and eats different things. It's a unique place.
To be honest the Baton Rouge area isn't that different from North Louisiana. It's definitely more like North Louisiana than New Orleans or the Cajun part are.
Most of the time when people talk about South Louisiana they mean the Southwestern(Cajun) part of the state. The people down there are just as country as North Louisiana but they are very different.
