I don't think its irrelivant - in fact its exactly what the IB should be - 2 decent teams playing with one trying to spoil something better for the other.

regardless of the outcome of the NCAA crap - the game should be looked at for what it is - no record, no standings - just a knock down, drag out arse kicking for both sides where each team leaves it on the field.
