In "year ones" of significant changes to rules, processes and procedures, Saban has generally taken a step back in overall outcomes in team performance and/or recruiting outcomes.

This is likely because he is an experiential learner not ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater when venturing into uncharted waters.

Going in to "year twos" after the significant change was made and upon reflection of how to adjust to the new dynamic, Saban has been #1 at adjusting and dominating.

NIL and player transfer flexibility is a curve ball. But, there isn't a better coach out there are adapting to change and setting conditions to sustain/regain dominance that Nick Saban.

These hopes that the end is nigh for Bama and Saban because of transfers and NIL will likely prove as false as all of the other major CFB shifts that didn't end in his demise, like the HUNH/spread, rules changes for the offense, CFPs, early signing periods, etc
