Hey, it's a big deal to make this guy throw an interception. Nobody else has done it.

I'm proud of our defense.

We forced his very first interception last year. We didn't get cookies, only stomped.

Only team to get a pick six off of Tua. Only team to get a pick six off of Jalen too.

I miss Gaulden. We actually had a pretty good secondary last year.

But I'll tell you these young froshies Pruitt's been playing are going to be very, very, good next year. They're probably the only thing worth looking forward to with next season's team.

You know, he could have played upperclassmen and probably did a little better this year with them, but he isn't coaching for this year. He wants those young guys as experienced as possible. He was the dc of our aggressive defense that scored so many td's. He needs his corners to be able play man coverage so he can bring in his crazy blitz packages to create turnovers. You can expect more turnovers next year and also when your guys get the turnovers, notice how well the others will block on the return. This is what Pruitt's defenses are known for. That 2016 Bama defense blocking for a a db or lb who just got a pick was a thing of beauty to watch. There is a very good reason they scored so many touchdowns.

I've seen flashes of what you're talking about on D but we are threadbare at LB (JJ Peterson not getting cleared before the season started hurt) and on the d-line and it will be worse in terms of depth next year. But what I've seen from our young corners/dbs is impressive and I absolutely love the way he calls defense. Even with our shitty roster you can see the outlines of what our D will be like in the future.

I'll say this too, I expected an absolute disaster on D given that we were switching from 4-3 to 3-4 but given what he's had to work with it's actually been pretty seamless. Our D can't stop the run at all but they are visibly better than last year.

His interception turned out to be our best punt of the year.

He missed a number of passes as well. Still had some unbelievable moments. Held him to only 2 TD passes. I believe he was around maybe 59% passing? I don't even remember the numbers any more.

He good, it's a shame LSU didn't have an offense to compete. Also, he had a lot of opportunities with so many LSU punts.. Just imagine if LSU could sustain drives.. Could have made for an epic game.

Gg though.

Tua's horrific game against LSU leaves him standing for the season at 2361 yards passing with 27 TDs and 1 int, and you can also tag on 172 yards rushing and 3 TDs on the ground. His QBR is in a freefall all the way down to 215.2 for the season and 203.7 for his career.

Note that Baker Mayfield set the all time season QBR record last year at 198.9, with a lifetime QBR of 175.4. Only Sam Bradford has a better lifetime QR of 175.6. Tua should probably pick up the pace a bit.

But hey, as you say, LSU got an interception.

When that happened, I said with LSU's offense, that was likely as good a punt as we'll get this season.

Well he needs to get more of his players for this happen. He needs corner and safeties to be able play man coverage, so he can bring his blitz packages when his front four is not getting enough pressure from the front . Tua had six seconds plus more often than not vs UT. Nobody can cover that long.

That interception flipped the field and LSU almost had a safety.

Then Bama scored...so...
