His shite would never work in the Pro’s. He takes a bunch impressionable kids, turns the testosterone up 10 notches and plays this us against the world schtick. Dude knows the college game to an extent, but he has some dues to pay before he gets the ring.
I watched them talk about missing the pitching coach. They missed him calling the pitches for sure. Alot of Great Coaches have been to Omaha and no trophy. Ron Polk, Mike Martin for starters. The city of Omaha would get behind them and root for them. This will never happen with Tony Rage V unless he finds a way to approach the game in a more gentlemanly manner.

honestly the last line alone deserves an upvote.
This was his 5th year. So....

Chad there is no chance this clown lasts 5 years as a head coach. Not at the collegiate level.

quote:Yes, throughout the year the Vols had a better team than anyone in the country, including Arkansas. Those roles were reversed last year with the Hogs holding #1 throughout the year and sitting at home while the Vols went to Omaha. But to say as a definitive that Vitello will have a better career than DVH is laughable. DVH's career below.
Vitello will finish with the better career and you know this deep down.
Nebraska - 5 years, 1 Regionals, 1 Super, 2 CWS
Arkansas - 20 years, 9 Regionals, 2 Supers, 7 CWS
Dave's only knock..and it's an important one obviously..is that he hasn't won the darn thing yet. But Vitello has a long way to go put together that type of sustained success.

You will win before long. There is only one FSU.

Well considering he has been at UT since 2018, I think it’s safe to say he is going to elapse the 5 years as a HC. Vitello is the best coach in country right now. It speaks volume that the best prospect in the portal, and #36 prospect by D1 wants to play for the Vols. We will be ok going forward with him at the helm.

I think he’s a borderline great coach and is a great recruiter, but he will have to change a great deal about himself and the culture he’s created to have long term success.

Most young kids today would love to play for no other coach than Vitello.
These fans of these old school prehistoric acting dinosaur coaches fail to understand a lot of Vitello's antics are for recruiting.
Whether you love them or hate them, they are having a load of fun out there win or lose and he is producing big time draft prospects.
