Using SEC BXII and ACC teams, what would be a perfect 8-team holiday hoops tournament

You pick the teams and the location, and each team is guaranteed three games. The revenue that is generated after expenses are divided up...

The winner of the whole thing gets 17% of the revenue, the 2nd place team gets 15, the following four teams (3rd-6th) get 12, the 7th gets 11, and the last place team gets 9.

So, for me, the tournament would be at the Alamo Dome or Frost Center in San Antonio. There would be good weather and many attractions for fans, and it would not be a challenging trip.

The teams I would invite are

Arkansas
Arizona
Auburn
Baylor
Houston
Iowa State
North Carolina
Kentucky

Also, I invited these teams because their fans travel pretty well for big-time events.

Setting the bracket will be challenging; here is how mine would look.

Arkansas
Arizona

Auburn
Iowa St

Baylor
Carolina

Houston
Kentucky

I know it is a bad idea, but I was bored at school before Thanksgiving break.

Because I did not want to invite them, they can play in it in year 2. Plus, you already have Houston, Baylor, Iowa St, and Arizona, all T25 in the Big 12.

Why did you not want to invite them? They're arguably the biggest brand in college hoops.

Leaving out the premier SEC school? The Vols?

If we're talking about a holiday hoops tournament, I’d also love to see teams with big fan bases and high energy. I think your choice of San Antonio is spot on great location with a lot of things to do around it.

Iowa St travels well?

Also, Arkansas isn't even showing up for the new coach in Arkansas.

Yeah, they traditionally do travel well; they want to get out of Ames as much as possible.
