And it's private property, and riverfront at that. No way that's going to be sold, and what would be the point of that small area being bought?

I agree. I was just pointing out that the area across the river was in Tuscaloosa which you said it wasn't.

here's the current master plan for the campus in Starkville.

This is info I got from the current Master Plan:

Mississippi state University has locations throughout the state related to the Mississippi agricultural
and forestry Experiment stations (MafEs) which encompass over 20,000 acres of land dedicated
to agricultural and forestry research. the main campus in starkville encompasses over 4,400 acres of
land including the contiguous north and south farms, the thad Cochran technology and Economic
development Park, and the forestry operations and wildlife and fisheries facility on Blackjack road.
the main campus is located in the golden triangle region of the state which includes starkville,
Columbus and west Point. the golden triangle is the primary economic development region associated
with the University. MsU also operates branch campuses in Meridian and Jackson. the Meridian Campus
includes a purpose-built education campus on the west side of town and the riley Center
(a performing arts and convention center) and adjacent buildings in downtown Meridian. the Jackson
location accommodates the fifth year program of the College of architecture.
the main campus is bordered by the town of starkville on the west and unincorporated parts of
oktibbeha County on the north, east and south.

Still couldnt' find on anything on size of North farm, South Farm, "Main" campus. Maybe b/c they consider it all one campus.

I went to South Carolina for my undergrad and now I'm at Ole Miss for grad school. IMO, just by walking the campuses, Carolina is bigger than Ole Miss.

but i guess not

U of Arkansas also has a technology park in Fayetteville with several buildings already, but its not considered part of the campus. Its about a mile south of the campus.

LINK /

The most recent addition being a 65,000 SF building here:

I really enjoyed the LSU campus the 2 times I have been there. I remember our car was blocked in when we were trying to leave. We recruited a few LSU fans they helped pick up the back of our car and rotate it so we could back out.

When asked if Fayetteville, AR is the end of the earth, former HC Lou Holtz replied, "No, but you can see it from there."

That is funny and I've seen that before.
I'm so glad for you Bama people that you now play all of your games on campus. When I was at LSU the games were played at Legion Field. Of course, it was significantly larger than Bryant-Denny at that time but it lacked the atmosphere of playing on campus. I always enjoy my visits to the Bama campus (as I do most schools).
