None of those departments are highly respected nationally. Baseball, meh, no Omaha, ever.
One thing you do very well is keep the drug dealers in Memphis flush.

Dumbass. Do some research instead of listening to State fans who make you believe this.

Not really. The only thing that would be different for us is getting the welfare check that they get.

USM Total Endowment: $61 Million
MSU PRIVATE philanthropic giving to the university in 2012:
$86 Million
Goodddd thing for that TV revenue though**
We get more in private donations yearly than you have in your entire endowment fund. Hilarious really.

I was talking with my boss about this just this afternoon. I told him that while Byrne had good intentions with this it was really a dumb move. Miss State has nothing to gain and everything to lose. I used this analogy to better make my point.
"MSU playing USM is like fighting a retarded kid when you were in school. If you win... Congrats, you just beat up a retarded kid, a-hole. If you lose... Well you just got you arse kicked by a retarded kid. Good luck living that one down."

Never said we were the end all be all. I'm asking you, what do you bringto the table?
Football? Nope
Basketball? Nope. (OM made the tourney and good for them)
Baseball? Usually decent to pretty good
What I'm saying is if you didn't get your check, no one would know who you were.

But you'll play Maine, UAB (home and away), ULL, La. Tech, Troy (home and away). Your arguement holds no water.

I agree with this. Ole Miss has the Memphis market, but had they traded places in conferences, Ole Miss would be less relevant than Memphis is now IMO.

We are not in the same state with Maine, UAB, ULL, La Tech and Troy. Also we are not going after the same in state players year after year with these schools like we are with USM. Now stfu gfy & diaf.

The truth must have struck a nerve. The pesticides must have gotten to you.

The truth? wtf are you talking about? You haven't made a single valid argument. You keep throwing bullshite up and it keeps getting shot down.

You've got a really, REALLY short memory. We are the 3rd-winningest overall basketball program in the SEC over the past decade and a half.

Football? Nope
Only 1 SEC can play for the national title at a time(usually). What do you bring to the table? Oh, that's right -- ZERO and 12 -- and you got constantly outdrawn by PETAL HIGH SCHOOL in attendance in your own damn city.

Baseball? Usually decent to pretty good
13-5
5-0
3-0
5-4
16-9
Know what these numbers have in common?
How about 78-36? That one ring a bell?

Listen dipshit, you telling me that you don't recruit Alabama or Louisiana? You're closer to Birmingham than you are Hattiesburg. Just because we are in the same state doesn't mean shite. You telling me that playing those teams isn't everything to lose and nothing to gain? Good arguements and all you cando is deflect. You know I'm right.

Ew. Coast trash language. Please go away. Shoo. Shoo you little pest.

Yeah. It didn't happen, so you can unrustle your jimmies now. But for some reason, had Ole Miss joined CUSA, and Memphis was in the SEC, Ole Miss wouldn't be relevant.
But again, that isn't the case. The USM fan brought up a good point though.
Posted on 3/27/13 at 8:50 pm to engie
I've already said this isn't about Southern Miss. I'm asking about you. Stop deflecting and answer the question. You're pissed because you're irrelevant to everyone other than you're fanbase.

Well shite, you could say this about any number of teams in the SEC.
