Former Southern football player Devon Gales, paralyzed from an injury during a game at Georgia last season, has another obstacle to overcome. Gales and his family were flooded out of their handicap accessible home in Baton Rouge over the weekend, a result of massive amounts of rain in Louisiana that left hundreds without a place to live and claimed several lives, according to the AJC's Chip Towers. The University of Georgia, who has helped Gales tremendously since his injury, again extended a helping hand and is providing shelter for him and his family, Bryant Gantt, Georgia football’s director of player wellness, confirmed to the AJC.

So proud of Devon & the way he's overcome his devastating injury and am proud of the way UGA & the Dawgnation has assisted he & his family since that fateful Saturday in Athens...

It's been terrible for everyone in the region & I'm not trying to minimize the awful circumstances of the hundreds/thousands of families in the same situation as the Gales. Just thought I'd pass the story along...
