I started the first video, and it's really cool.
However, I'm in way over my head lol. Do you have any recommendations that I could watch to get up to speed (or even any blogs or something like that)?

Thanks for the this. I would love more of it and wish someone had the time to do it for LSU or even an SEC game of the week. I used to have access to all-22 but even if I still did, I dont have the patience or time for it.
Any who. 4:00 minute mark and I guess its UGA second offensive play of the game. I could spend 15 mins on this play alone. 2nd and 5. Would love to know what Beck's thought process there was. He has the receiver open and makes a good throw and it shouldve been caught for a big gain. But he also has a clean pocket and the ability to step up, and as Austin points out, the first crossing route is breaking free directly in his field of vision for an easier throw and bigger gain.
What was his first designed read here? What did they see in practice/film that lead to that read? Texas is dropping 8, yet both WR's on the double crossing routes are open 20 yards down the field. Why didnt the linebackers drop deeper? Did UGA see something on film that showed they dont? Did they adjust the double cross routes to go deeper to account for that? Does Texas then adjust the drop depth later in the game to counter? Do they even have time to?
This shite is fascinating to me. I think I I need help. I could watch this all night.
This kind of post is why it'd be awesome to have another board.

Probably look up videos that explain different defensive schemes and what kind of plays/routes can beat those defenses. Look up how a db is supposed to defend a WR, Stuff like that.
