I expected the Defense to be better, but they are still a good defense, not great.
Jacob Phillips, starting MLB was out against Fla. That was a huge loss and had to start a true freshman in his spot and Fla took advantage. He missed tackles in the hole all game or got dragged for a 3-4 yard gain. Outside of Steve Ensminger having the worst offensive game plan I have seen, Phillips being out was the difference in the game. Florida attacked him all game and really focused on him late in the 4th to bleed the clock.

Just listen to the swamp kitten rhetoics from this off-season over a career backup without a meaningful snap in his career, playing for a coach that's not afraid to play deep on his QB depth chart... And still Burrow sucked so bad he never played.
I read more than once, "Auburn fans were excited for Cam Newton, so we are right to be excited for Burrow". It had to be one of the dumbest fricking narratives in this board's history... And it was parroted by half the swamp kittens here, and they weren't being facetious in the slightest.
