No need to be a drama queen. Kelly is a great coach. LSU also has one of the best defensive minds in football in Aranda. It will be fun to watch them coach against each other.
I can handle that

Chip didn't have any personal in San Fran. See how shitty your team is now? Hard to run his style of offense without the players to make it functional. Frost runs the same system. It's number 1 in the nation. So no, defenses haven't figured it out. Add in CFB and the NFL are vastly different. College the hurry up, fast past, quick decision offense is much better than the complex NFL schemes. College kids are still learning the game, so it's better to simplify it.
Kelly in CFB ran the best offense in CFB. Until he shows he can't do it at the college level, saying it won't work(while it LITERALLY IS THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY) is absolute idiotic.
Just admit it. You are scared shitless. You have O. Florida has one of the best offensive innovators in football.
You have no idea what you're talking about
#1 His personnel in SF was no worse than what Tomsula had the year before, who did way better than Chip did.
#2 Defenses haven't figured out Scott frost, they have figured out Chip Kelly. These are 2 different people running 2 different playbooks and overall philosophies. Surely you're not this dumb. Surely.
#3 Yes the NFL and College are different. I'm not saying Chip will go 2-10 at Florida though. I said he's more Gus and less Urban. Like Gus he struggles to get to plan B and his playcalling gets very predictable, very fast. I am far more qualified to talk about Chip Kelly's strengths and weaknesses than you are.
#4 Chip WAS one of the best innovators in football. 10 years ago. Things change and his ideas have been copied by so many that it's now the standard. He gets a lot of credit for that but he hasn't shown he has any further innovations in him. It's like the difference between Bill Walsh in 1981 vs 1991.

Not the offense as much as it is the scheme behind it.
quote:Why dont you just explain what it is he does that wont work anymore?
you could run the wishbone and be successful if you did it right.

Run the same half dozen plays ad infinity and still rack up first down after first down bc you're tiring out the opposing defenses who aren't used to being on the field so much.
Once you get a few 3 and outs against Chip he's done & he had no plan b.

Interesting how this board has managed to flesh out this chip Kelly thing in a few pages, and maintain a thick skin and some good comedy while the gator-only boards (no the one here) out there are thin skinned, and couldn't figure this out without hundreds of pages of inane discussion and out of control mods that want to police everything people say.
I guess Gator fans just aren't good at message boards. Have to settle for being the best program in the SEC instead.

Bump.
UF plane was in NJ near where Chip lives.
Was there for 75 minutes, just left.
Kelly to Florida. It's happening. Like the fappening...but better.
Jking...nothing is better than the fappening.

Gator only boards are kind of snowflaky. They want a single narrative or you are pushed out. Right now they are all on the same page. It will change eventually again like it always does. Say a recruit doesn't look that amazing. 100 down votes and death threats lol

I don't know about anyone else, but Gruden's quick slide into mediocrity after winning with a Tony Dungy team and overall career record 0f .541 certainly has me terrified.

I was in Tampa when Gruden torpedoed the Bucs. UT can have him.

Not really. I honestly think Florida could to better. Chip was 1-2 vs the SEC at Oregon wasn't he?
If I was UF I would rather get Frost, but that just me.

I just heard from reliable sources the announcement will be made soon... within the next few hours. Chip was en route to Gainesville. Might be there by now.

Chip's record is with Oregon players. Want to compare Oregon talent to Florida talent? He faced Auburn's best team all time possibly, and LSU's best team all time. One he lost on a last minute drive on a crazy play.
With three star Oregon players.
Let's just think what happens if he has equal talent to Auburn in that game...
His offense finished top 13 in the NFL his three years in Philly. So it will work in the SEC. Don't let the mind numb LSU fans tell you otherwise. If it can work in the NFL with terrible QB's like Sanchez. Can def work in the SEC.

Dude the fan base is on edge..
What makes it worse is the complete silence from the UAA, Sticklin, and the major reporters. No one is allowed to speak about Kelly. So it's just making everyone more tense.

The best part is he claims the NFL learned Chip's plays and called them the last year at San Fran.
Show's just how little this idiot knows.
Chip's line up LITERALLY SHOWS THE PLAY BEFORE IT'S SNAPPED. It did at Oregon. Everyone knew how the RB lined up was where the play side was going, and if it was going outside or inside.
This guy should have studied his coach more. He clearly isn't that bright on Chip's offense. Claiming the NFL learned his offense...when in fact Kelly laid a detailed script of his offense out his first year in the Pac-12 and literally showed defenses how to know where his play was going.
There are complete video guides to this. Should I post them so you understand that defenses have always called out the style and side a Chip Kelly play is going?
