You guys that think his accuracy got better as the season went on, what about the BCS Championship game?

A lot of qb's accuracy will drop after 37 days not playing a game and only 15 practices to find it. Really lame example and shines a bright light upon the fact you suffer from a lack of football knowledge. Your opinion is skewed by your hate.

Mayock, for one, continues to reserve judgment.

"To me, there are two issues with this kid," he said. "Issue number one is he came out of a shotgun, and if you watch the tape it's basically a very simple offense. One read and either the ball was out or he was out. Can he adapt to, can he process and assimilate a very structured and complex pro offense against a complex pro defense?

"And secondly, and most importantly, when you get to a certain skill level in the NFL, which this kid certainly has, at the quarterback position what kind of kid is he? Is he going to be the first guy in the building? Is he a gym rat? Is he football smart? Is he a leader of men? All of those things to me are way more important than any workout in shorts."

Cam was being praised around Auburn from day one about his work ethic and willingness to learn. The first question however is the big unknown right now, and the right answer could be worth 50 million.

1. As for playing out of the shotgun - Did this guy just notice in the superbowl 90% of the snaps were out of the shotgun?

2. AU's offense is pretty damn complex. Probably prepares him better than 90% of college offenses as far as complexity.

3. Leadership qualities and work ethic - Cam absolutely shines here. His work ethic was praised from day 1. Chizik called him one of the most competitive people he has ever met and Chiz is not one to exagerate. He was the unquestioned leader of AU this past year. He displayed more leadership than any QB I have seen in a very long time in the SEC.

which is that he needs to work on his footwork and accuracy.

Funny you say this. I just listened a discussion of his workout 15 minutes ago on the way into the office.

They absolutely praised his footwork and said it was great in his dropbacks. Much better than expected, very quick and very good.

Then they talked about his accuracy which they couldn't believe. They said he was attempting very difficult long downfield throws in tight windows on timing routes that "many QB's will not attempt" in a workout like this.

And he was nailing all of them. As they put it, "with outstanding velocity and delivering the ball timely" when the receiver came out of his break. All while keeping his eyes down the middle of the field before making a pinpoint throw deep to the outside with perfect timing. Oh yeah, they mentioned his velocity split a receiver's glove yesterday.

Basically, the NFL scouts and GM's are going to be absolutely drooling over Cam and he may go top 5.
