Dilfer is very knowledgeable football person. He is giving very high praise for sCam. Even though I dislike sCam very much for the fact he's a cheating, lying, stealing, oh look at me type sob, he's a damn fine athlete and will IMO be a very good NFL QB.

Couldn't have said it better.

You guys that think his accuracy got better as the season went on, what about the BCS Championship game?

He was injured and the field turf sucked. Also, outside of two or three bad throws, he didn't even have that bad of a game.

This is where internet arguments get funny. Those are two true and legitimate answers to his inquiry and you bring up some sarcastic comment to discount it because you cannot admit that your stance is misguided.

I like these comments about Dildo's ability to evaluate talent.

These discussions make me recall the imbeciles who simply thought Cam Newton was a black Tim Tebow halfway through the season without watching a single game and said "He'll fail because his throwing motion is terrible", despite his throwing motion and mechanics in general being near flawless.

The only issue that is really prominent is how Newton will respond to having to read complex defenses in the NFL and possibly the issue (although I doubt it remains an issue for fans for very long at all) of taking snaps under center.

He made some bad throws in the title game, look at the tape. I didnt say he wasnt good. I didnt say his accuracy or footwork sucked, i just said it needed work. But i guess you think he is perfect and doesnt need to work on anything cause he is already the best quarterback to ever hold a ball

My apologies if you felt that was sarcastic. I was in awe that a reason for questionable QB play was blamed on the turf.

When the turf was as bad as it was, everything is thrown off.

My carpet under the computer is worn out too. Probably why my opinions are inaccurate!

let me clarify for you, I wasnt disputing that his accuracy was better or worse as the season went on, I was identifying the class of people to whom I was directing the question. And my question was not meant to flame, but to illicit actual answers because in most people's opinion, he did not look as sharp in the championship game as he did in some other games.

no shite but thanks for your insight. i guess he gets a free pass from all inquiry or criticism because not everyone can be perfect all the time.

Oh wait, welcome to this little thing called sports, where athletes are scrutinized for their play, including in their last on field performance and even more so in championship games

Is this the point you're trying to make? I dont think so, it must be an attempt at sarcasm, so I'll assume you believe the inverse. And to that point, i will acquiesce. but his stats and all his glory are not dispositive of my point, which is that he needs to work on his footwork and accuracy.

"we're doing some polishing and refinement of footwork and we're tinkering with his gun barrel a little bit on how he's shooting different throws out" - George Whitfield

"He wasn't transferring well," Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon said after interrupting a Cam Newton drill. "He was throwing leaning backward. He has a strong arm, but I don't care how strong an arm you have, if you are not in the right throwing motion you are not going to have good accuracy.

FIFY. Daniel Snyder is an idiot owner and going to the Redskins would kill Newton's career faster than with any other NFL team, IMO.
