His first year was pretty rough, but that's to be expected starting as a true freshman some of the games. His stats of been better than average, but not super stardom type by any measure. What he does very well though is throw the big game pass when he needs to. And he's not afraid to give his WR's a chance to go up and make a play on a deep ball if it's 1 on 1. If Stafford improves again this year as he did last year, he'll be very, very good. If he makes another progression the following year, he will be one of the top 3 qb's to go in the draft. But next or the year after are yet to be seen.

If you believe the hype -- and NCAA Football 09 -- it's Moreno.

But one freshman season doesn't = best back in the SEC. One guy that hasn't been mentioned much at all in best RB discussion but who certainly merits attention is Tennessee's Arian Foster. I also think that Mississippi State's Anthony Dixon is the most underrated back in the SEC and if State continues to improve, he could be looking at a monster season.
