Now would be a good time to remind everyone that Walter Payton, Jerry Rice, and Brett Favre all played HS in Mississippi, all played college football in Mississippi, and not a single one was offered a football scholarship from Ole Miss, the flagship school of the state.

To be fair Brett Favre was heading to Delta State until Southern Miss had a signing day decommitment.
