my thing is, isn't Bama only returning 2 starters on defense from last year?
I realize that the replacements likely got a lot of experience, but it should be a tall order to replace what left from last year.

gotta replace 3 starters, Robby Green would have sure helped.

hes not looking at talent or experience. he just assumes Bama and LSU will have better defenses just because theyre Bama and LSU.

If our secondary pans out early, Katey bar the door.

I know Ole Miss will have a solid defense. They might have issues in the secondary, but if they can (and I predict that they will) put significant pressure on the quarterback with their defensive line and a linebacker or two, their secondary shouldn't give up too many plays. Alabama lost a bunch, but I am sure they have the talent and athletes to fill in. Saban always seems to get more out of his players too. LSU should be good (I think we will have the best secondary for sure), but I am still a little uncertain on our front seven. Our defensive ends and outside linebackers seem extremly quick and athletic, but I am worried that they may be a little "light" when playing physical running teams like Alabama and Mississippi State. Mississippi State should have a solid defensive line, but I am not up to date on the rest of their defense to make an accurate prediction. Auburn should improve. Arkansas should improve some, but will probably still be the worst unit.

Having the recruiting classes we've had the last couple of years will help.

The talent is there, not I, nor anyone, else is questioning that. But me and you should agree that experience is absolutely necessary to win (and never lose, which I am assuming is Bama's 2010 goal.) in our league.
Again, I am not questioning Bama's massive depth or Saban and his staff's ability to coach/teach but the guys who yall did lose were just such impact players that it is tough to know whether or not there will be bumps in the road.
I sure hope there is one bump.

This thread won't end well. I will go ahead and call it. Each team(except Arky, but maybe some Arky fans) will get pissed and say that their D will be the best.
Anyone that does that should be
