2003 Arkansas. After our first 4 games, we were #4. Then we went 0-3 in October...losing to an unranked Auburn and Florida team, and Ole Miss.

Thanks Nutt.

No..LSU won their bowl game.....3-5 in the SEC and we still got a cool trophy...Bammers....not so much

What the frick? Alabama's season was exponentially better than LSU's and included beating LSU at home. A bowl game is only one game of the season, and Alabama was actually playing in a BCS game.

I hate Alabama, but god damn this is stupid.

Gotta agree with you there......going 3-5 in the SEC following a MNC.....inexcusable and very disappointing.....hopefully we will have some of it corrected in 2009....we shall see

I think Phat Phil took his #5 preseason ranking and eventual 11 NFL draft picks to an unranked position by the end of the 2002 season.

1998 was dreadful. We finish 3-8 a year after going 4-7. I'm throwing up thinking about that.

Last year blew for sure. 8-5. Geez, that's a record Boston College gets...not LSU.

I would have liked LSU to win 12 games like Bama; however, I don't know if I would ever want LSU to lose to a non BCS program in an elite bowl. I can't stand losing to a non BCS team at any time.

The 2008 LSU season was embarrassing, but ya'll are Bama and got the shite kicked out of you by Utah.

Then to add insult to injury Saban said Bama didn't have talent to compete on the needed level with a non BCS school.

Ball State coulda beat Bama last year in the Sugar Bowl. Saban did not have that team ready and was prepared to lose.

I'm sorry but I've been told a million time on here that the name doesn't mean anything anymore.

This is an obvious cop out. Utah was one of the top 5 teams in the nation last year. They proved it on the field regardless of the situation. Non-BCS schools such as Utah, Boise State, and TCU are here to stay and do a damn good job.
