I don't think it's that Saban favors seniority. It's that he favors consistency and doing things right from top to bottom.
Most young RBs have a lot to learn when it comes to pass blocking, ball protection, route running, etc.

Who's gonna have the best o-line?
Makes quite a bit of difference.

Bama's Oline is going to be very good.

Trayveon Williams. 2000 yds rushing, 600 receiving.

By a mile? Did Snell get injured when I wasn’t looking?
From the SEC, Swift ranked #2, Harris #6, and Ty Chandler #10 are Athlon's top College RB picks they predict to have breakout seasons. IIRC, Snell didn't make their list although Vandy's RB, AU's RB, and LSU's RB also made the top 30.
I think Snell is very good college RB who can be an absolute nightmare for opponents but UK fans are probably rating him a bit too high. Every team in this conference has a good RB. We have 6 teams fielding RBs on their list of 30.

Smell because of UK’s reliance on him in the offense
Harris has too many touches taken away by sheer talent around him.

Snell is by far the best RB but he plays on a shite team.
