Do you really think that the only schools that recruit a player are the ones that "have a hat on the table"? That is ridiculous. Once he solidly committed to bama, Auburn backed off recruiting him (that was the first sign Tuberville was in trouble). How many kids have a hat on the table of a school that has pulled their offer?

He went to Foley (I am from Fairhope) High School and it was pretty well known by everyone in the recruiting circles (and in the local high school football circles) that he was going to go to Auburn. This, of course, was before Saban left Miami and Jones wanted to play in state. There was so much disarray in Tuscaloosa at the time that he didn't even know who would be his coach if he went to bama. Then Saban was hired and changed everything.

Just because you don't know what really happened doesn't mean it didn't happen. You not believing me does nothing to change the facts.
