The SEC guys know their dominance is over which is why they love to talk about the past. I guess I could point out my team has more SEC championships than most current SEC teams and we haven’t been in the SEC in 60 years. But that would be stupid because no one cares about the past. That’s the problem current SEC fans have. They want to talk about the past when the BIG has won the last two Natties in a completely different era than 5 years ago. A playoff has eliminated the biased polls and NIL has leveled the talent. This is where we are and the SEC hasn’t lived up to the hype under this new system.

Michigan is really poor this year.

I think some years the league is really deep when teams like Michigan State, Iowa, Northwestern Wisconsin, etc. are defensively dominant and tough to beat.

This year, even the higher-level programs in the conference (Michigan and Penn State) are massively disappointing. I say this as a huge Michigan fan: Michigan this year is much worse than their record. It's been a total disappointment of a season, so far.

Illinois is also not as good as expected, which doesn't help. And Maryland has fallen off after a hot start.
