Agreed. Go back to 10 team conferences and play everyone.

Not at all. It is very easy. 3 perminanant opponents rotate 5 every other year. But it would take actual leadership, something we do not have.

That's not a round robin schedule...

But if SEC West teams are as tough as they claim to be, there shouldn't be a problem.

Difficult to comprehend that ANYONE doesn't know the meaning of a round robin schedule.

It's an interesting idea though. I'm not sure who I'd want to be our 3rd permanent opponent after Auburn and Georgia.

If we went to a truly round robin format, you would inevitably have years where a decent team managed to get the 8 worst teams on the schedule and make it to the championship. And then you would want to go back to divisions so there would be some semblance of common opponents. Divisions are staying.

Holy sh!t! TWO of you! I couldn't believe that there would even be one. FYI, in a round robin schedule EVERYONE plays the worst 8 teams because EVERYONE, including the worst 8 teams, plays EVERYONE else.

It's truly baffling that people don't know what a round robin is.

Cut one team - Vandy

Remaining 13 all play 12 conference games plus one non-conference rival or a home rent a win. Instead of just the 2 teams in the champ game, everybody gets the extra game (7 game payout is bigger than one big game payout)

League champ to the 4 team championship tourney.

Agree, we should go back to 10. Say goodbye to Moo State, USCjr, Arky, and Mizzou. Make the SEC great again!

Charter members have to leave on their own. Not happening.

Some of our fans are like HRC voters (or people who hate Trump but didn't vote): Can't win so they want to bitch and complain and change the rules.

There's nothing wrong with divisions, and I'm even cool with Mizzou being in the East.

Is there any way this happens? Either let the top two teams play in the championship game or do away with it completely. Only two games have been somewhat competitive in the last 15 years.

Why is it that every few days, somebody attempts to fix something that isn't broken?

The SEC is the pinnacle of college football. Other conferences have changed themselves to be more like the SEC because it's working. Sorry that it's hard to win the SEC, but thems the breaks

So you have a 14 team league right? And 8 conference games, right?

Now tell me how the frick everyone will play everyone else, David Blaine.
