OXFORD, Miss. | From the moment he arrived on campus, 320-pound tackle Michael Oher seemed destined to be a star on Mississippi’s football team and a failure in its classrooms.

Oher was the son of a crack-addicted single mom, and as a teen could barely read. His educational record — 11 schools in nine years as he moved from home to home in Memphis — read like an indictment of a failed education system.

So.....

“I haven’t struggled a bit in college,” the standout offensive lineman says. “It’s been a breeze.”

And....

at a school that graduates fewer than 60 percent of all students within six years

Good goin Rebs.

You need to read Blind side, dumbass. Michael Oher is actually a very intelligent kid. He didn't learn to read until his sophomore year of high school. He was adopted when he was 16.

Oh. Thanks for making fun of my school a-hole especially when you have no idea what you are talking about.

Leave it to a high school drop-out Bammer to trash another school.

Well then you know that he's intelligent. By his senior year in high school he was making the honor roll.

forgive me if I seem a little cynical about a football player making honor roll by his senior year when he just learned to read.

I knew the bammer didn't go to college/is stupid. 1.Because he's a Bama fan. 2. because a 60% dropout rate is completely normal and he found it extraordinary.

Yeah, well you probably wouldn't know how to read until you were a sophomore in high school, If you had to walk in Michael Oher's shoes.

There is going to be a movie made about him. He was first team all american, and is a projected first round draft pick.
